Design Your Own Landscape

content_landingpages_Landscaping-with-flowers-82910You’ve done it. You finally made your own garden. You planted all your favourites, then spent the entire summer taking care of them. Some of the plants did really well, while others barely clung on. It’s not that you didn’t take care of them all — you did. You came home a long day at work to relax in the garden, only to find yourself watering, pruning, and caring for plants as they worked their way through their life cycles.

But still, they made it. And so did you.

You can claim you made it through a full season of gardening, and now you want to do it again. But bigger. Better.

And probably a little more structured than what you had before.

But, you don’t know where to start. Sure, you could put things into the ground in groups like you did before, but why do that when the Landscaping Essentials is about to release? For this DIY workshop I compiled several years worth of academic training and workshops I’ve attended over the, years of field experience landscaping and gardening, and ties it all together with my science communication skills. In the workshop you will learn:

  1. The basics of landscaping as a science so you can choose the right plants for your area. You’ll learn about how to describe your area so you can look for the right plants that will thrive with less work on your part.
  2. The art of landscaping and what can make the most impact, sets the mood and tone for your yard, and sets you at ease — while energising you for all that is to come.
  3. How to plan for each plant species you pick so you can fill in the space well using graph paper and scales to get the look you really want.

To go with this there are several of my favourite tools for getting landscaping done: graph paper, checklists and more. Just print out the ones you want and use them to create your own garden paradise — without the cost of a professional landscaper.

Two years ago I started working with Grace’s ebook “Elementals of Landscape Design” for my parents. I started out knowing nothing, and by the end of the first section, I learnt why plants kept dying under my care. Armed with science, I was able to fix my problems. The next year, my mama and I started to want more structure, so we turned to Grace’s ebook again — this time for the art of landscaping. Grace explains everything in a way that makes sense, gives you confidence, and sets your imagination free. She always gives down to earth advice that you can take action on and explains the whys with science and makes everything make sense. I found all the printables valuable enough to print out multiples and laminate them to use over and over again.

When I changed careers to help my son open a landscaping company helping maintain golf ranges, I asked Grace for help. In turn, she filled our heads with knowledge and walked us through the process. This ebook is our mini companion whenever we go out and plan. We found the printables invaluable — it helps us keep all the information we need in one place.

Landscaping is another medium of art and story telling. This story is yours.

The new DIY e-book is currently be updated with new information, then handed over to a professional graphic designer to make the pages something of a work of art themselves.  It’s a collectable that you’ll want to have in your library.

The cost? I believe that everyone should have access to their own sanctuary. Thus, this, like all my DIY courses, are Pay What You Want.

This means that although this is years of accumulated knowledge for countless academic classes, several workshops, and a life time (or two if you count my grandma’s advice and experience) written up in a beautiful e-book with several printable sheets that you’ll actually use, it’s up to you to decide the cost of the e-book on it’s own.

But while you wait, why don’t you peruse the printables? Get them instantly, and access to all the insider information by filling out the form below.
