About the SUF Project

You are the savvy urbanite farmer.

You have dreams of a rich, lush garden growing right within your reach. You can’t wait until you wake up each morning, step outside with your first cup of coffee and sip it surrounded by the little bit of paradise you created on your own. You dream of bringing in a bounty that covers the table in nutrient rich vegetables and fragrant flowers while still having enough to preserve for the winter months ahead.

I’m going to help make those dreams come true. Together we shall explore what makes the earth around us flourish and grow through live workshops, DIY courses, and a casual forum where we can all exchange ideas.

Oh, who am I?

My name is Grace Conyers, and I’m a gardening enthusiast like you. I started gardening when I was small, side by side with Grandma, planting the annual flowers around the house. As I carefully dug the holes and loosened roots, I was also planting seeds of curiosity that would drive me to studying soils while I was at the university. It seemed to not matter that I was an archaeologist or geologist, I found all my answers in the soil.

Over the years I have interned with companies that rehabilitated brownfields, worked with individual clients to landscape their gardens, and helped my community build edible gardens on their patios.

Now, it’s time that we share all that experience and knowledge to create little islands of paradise.
