Welcome to the Savvy Urbanite Farmer Project.
The Savvy Urbanite Farmer Project (lovingly shorted to SUF) is a project started by myself, Grace Conyers, a “dirt-ologist” with a passion for gardening, edible landscapes, and sharing her love of nature.
I dream of a world where everyone could make a garden in their small yard or patio if they wanted to. I dream of a world where everyone can taste a vine-ripened tomato, delight in the smell of fresh herbs, and be amazed by the simple, elegant interactions of nature. Mostly, though, I dream of a day when the science of agriculture, whether for food or beauty, is attainable by everyone.
I understand that it’s hard for people to get there, and all the information out there in the world can be daunting to say the least. That’s why I created the SUF project, a place where we can share our knowledge in a simple way — through live workshops, e-courses, forums, and meetups.
It’s still being built, even as we speak, but that’s the fun of it.
I don’t intend to do this alone, or run this as a one woman show. I want to open up the SUF project to be for gardeners, by gardeners so we can share out love of our hobby and crafts.
Won’t you join me for the ride?
